Rabat & Rif — 2-Week Volunteer & Discover

Two weeks in Morocco. A kindergarten, a family, and a river in the mountains.

Spend your first week volunteering in Rabat and living with a Moroccan host family. Spend your second in the Rif mountains above Chefchaouen, cleaning a river, swimming in the Mediterranean and doing yoga at sunrise.

  • €450 all-inclusive in Morocco
  • 2 weeks · 15 nights
  • Ages 18–30
  • 10–15 volunteers

Why this programme

Short enough for a summer. Real enough to matter.

Most short trips show you a country. This one puts you inside it: a family table in Rabat, a classroom of five-year-olds, and a village in the mountains that welcomes you as a guest.

It is run by CSM, the Moroccan national committee of ICYE, which has hosted international volunteers since 1963.

What you will do

Volunteering, family life and the outdoors — in one trip.

Volunteers and children together in a Moroccan classroom

Mornings with the kids

Four mornings in a Rabat kindergarten: songs, games, first English words, art, and planting seeds with the children.

Volunteers sharing a plate of couscous around a family table

A Moroccan family, not a hostel

You live with a host family and eat three home-cooked meals a day — including Friday couscous.

Volunteers and community members together after a clean-up day

River day at Oued El Kannar

A clean-up of the river below your mountain host. We weigh every bag, so you leave knowing exactly what you removed.

Four nights in the Rif

A host family high above Chefchaouen, a beach day on the Mediterranean, and a morning of sunrise yoga.

A smiling group of international and Moroccan volunteers

Exchange, not just volunteering

A skill-swap workshop with young Moroccan volunteers and dinner together at the CSM office.
